Why consider it
A separate scratchpad
Use a hotkey to open a floating note or reach it from a screen-edge pill. On supported MacBooks, that entry can use the notch.
Buy only the notes tool
The free tier includes every feature with a 3-note limit. A one-time US$4.99 Pro purchase removes the note limit.
Your own iCloud, with an exit
Sync between Macs using your private iCloud, or keep notes on one Mac. Markdown export gives you a way to move the text elsewhere.
